I am a follower of the Way, a husband to Becky, a father to Kate and Emma, and a pastor at Dunwoody Community Church in Atlanta, GA.
I am attracted to people who are honest and authentic (two of the reasons I married my wife). Often I fear that I’m constantly putting on masks to hide who I really am. God is taking me on a journey of discovery, to discover who I really am in Him and to free me from a life of hiding. He is forming in me the character and mind of Christ, while constantly reminding me that He will finish the work He started in me (Phil 1v6).
I love to read good books and drink good coffee. I love being with people, but also value my alone time. I guess you could say I am an extroverted introvert. I love to run when my knees allow me.
In addition to this blog I also write for Life Way’s devotional magazine Stand Firm and articles for Walk Thru the Bible’s Indeed publication.
I hope to see a movement of the Spirit in my life time that turns the church upside down.

Your third graph sounds vaguely familiar (except for the “training for the half marathon” part). Let’s grab a book, go to 1000 Hills, get some coffee, and not talk to anybody sometimes.
Let’s do it. That would be tons of fun. Reading anything good these days?
