City of Milwaukee skyline.

Over this last year my wife and I have been in the process of discerning a new call in ministry. The last few weeks I’ve been silent on my blog because we made a major change in where we live. We moved from Atlanta, GA to Milwaukee, WI. Talk about a crazy change! Right away I noticed all sorts of differences about these two places – the weather, the landscape, the architecture, the people. These two cities couldn’t be more different.

Even though this is a pretty dramatic change for our family, I’m really excited about this new season of life and work. I’ve been a pastor now for almost nine years. In that time I’ve come to realize all of what I don’t know. I believe that God used these past nine years to shape certain things in me so that I would be equipped for this next season. That’s not to say I’ve arrived, but I am not the same pastor I was when I began. There are many people who have contributed to the pastor I have become and am becoming. I’m incredibly grateful for the investment that these people have made in me along the way.

But the purpose of today’s post is to say that as we adjust and settle in our new home and my new position I’m going to take a few months off from my blog. I’m not shutting it down. Just hitting the pause button as we get settled.

I hope to start posting again in mid August. In the mean time, have a great summer! But don’t be a stranger. Feel free to reach out and say hi.

Grace and Peace,
